I grew up here in Jacksonville, and attended Northwoods Elementary, Northwoods Park Middle and graduated from Jacksonville High School, in 1990!  I graduated college with my Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, in 1995.  I earned my National Board teaching certification in 2003, and earned my Masters of Education Degree, in Curriculum and Instruction Technology from Grand Canyon University in 2006.

My first teaching job was at Hunters Creek Middle School, in 1998.  I taught Keyboarding, Business Computer Technology and Business & Marketing for 7 years.  In 2006, I became one of the first Instructional Technology Facilitators for Onslow County Schools!  I am beginning my 17th year as an educator in Onslow County Schools, and my 10th as a Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator (Instructional Technology Facilitator) and I love it!  Occasionally, I teach online Business Education classes for Granville County Schools.

I am the Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator for Onslow County's FIRST year round School of Technology and Innovation!  I am so excited to be working here at Northwoods! This will be my 3rd year here and it is just as exciting as my first! I love to help the teachers integrate technology into their curriculum in new and innovative ways!  My goal is to provide leadership and to collaborate with teachers, media and technology staff, administration and students to evaluate and select resources addressing curricular needs and learning strategies.  I want to assist all of my students and teachers in becoming 21st Century Learners and Leaders!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Tom and we have three beautiful daughters, Cassy, Erin and Marissa!  We also have three wonderful grandchildren, Preslie, Jaxon and Evangeline.  In my free time, I like to cook, attend church, and spend time with my family.
